Bucktown Arts Fest-Aug 25-26th

I love this art fair. Never mind that I took best of show last year and that this year yours truly is the poster artist. Never mind that, its not important. What is important is that this show is one of the last shows that is actually a real art fair. Maria Mariottini is a cool gal and her crew and her bust ass making this the best....So don't miss it.

Also, there is a great kick-off party.

The Kickoff Party is a lively social event that has traditionally taken place the Thursday evening prior to the fest, with plenty of food and libation, at a local neighborhood establishment. It’s a great way to meet the volunteer fest organizers and several participating artists who generously donate their work for the silent-auction portion of the evening. The success of this event depends on the support of our friends and neighbors. Every party has been a lot of fun so, don’t miss out!

The 2007 Kickoff Party will be held on Thursday, August 23 at The Bluebird (1749 N. Damen) from 6-10pm. Entry fees are $30 in advance or $40 at the door.
