Ever stayed in a hotel in East St. Louis? Anything that couldn't be bolted down was gone; no lamp shades, drawers nailed shut, and the bible was missing the Old Testament! Now that's shitty!
...or off the strip in Las Vegas where you are asked to sign an itemized list of furniture/stuff in the hotel room with prices listed. At least you know exactly how much it is going to cost you if you have a rockstar tantrum and throw the couch in the pool! I think that one was about $300.
Is the room shitty because everything looks so red and yellow? Maybe the neon sign is causing the issues? I've seen that happen when they are mounted right outside your window.Try closing the shades, it may be better if you can't see at all.
